Vanessa Jara

A graduate of the Universidad de Guadalajara, with a degree in Music with a focus on singing. She made her debut in 2014 at the Teatro Degollado with the Orquesta Filarmónica de Jalisco in the opera L’enfant et les sortilèges by Maurice Ravel. She was part of the Estudio de la Ópera de Bellas Artes and has performed on stages such as the Palacio de Bellas Artes in La fanciulla del West and the Gala de Ópera Mexicana.

Recipient of the Encouragement Award from the MET in 2018, she has been a finalist and prizewinner in competitions such as Carlo Morelli, ORFEO, EVENMEX, and Hermann Marcus.

She has performed as Zia Principessa (Suor Angelica) in Guatemala, as Suzuki (Madama Butterfly) at the Conjunto Santander alongside María Katzarava, and as Santuzza (Cavalleria rusticana) in Zapopan. As a soloist, she has performed Les nuits d’été by Berlioz and the Ode to St. Cecilia by Blow.

Her career continues to rise, marked by vocal sensitivity and stage presence.
