Alejandra Paniagua Platas

Originally from Xalapa, Veracruz, her music fuses son jarocho with other genres such as Latin American folk, protest song, indie folk, jazz and classical music, reflecting her rich Veracruz and Guatemalan heritage. She was a fellow of Fondo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes (FONCA) on two occasions. In 2022, she released her debut album, Flores, officially launching her recording career. Throughout her trajectory, she has shared the stage with various artists, including Silvana Estrada, La Lá, Vivir Quintana, Paz Court, and Leiden. 

She currently lives in Mexico City, where she is working on the production of her second album. Her most recent single, Lo Que Soñamos Vivir, marks a new chapter in her artistic journey, featuring a bolero danzón-sad style.
