He studied composition in Mexico City, Milan, and Paris, where he earned a doctorate in composition and a master’s degree in philosophy. His work also encompasses stage direction, documentary film, and painting. Fuentes develops a unique artistic language focused on the exploration of timbre, silence, the poetics of sound, and the theatrical dimensions of music. With a career spanning over twenty years, he has created a diverse catalogue of more than one hundred works, presented at festivals and theatres across Europe, Asia, and Latin America.
