He is a Senegalese-Canadian musician especially virtuosic on the kora, a 21-string African instrument. Originally from West Africa, he belongs to the Sissokho caste, one of the three traditional families who carry the Mandinka oral memory. Since his arrival in Montreal in 1999, he has become part of the Canadian music scene, receiving grants and recognition from the Canada Council for the Arts and the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec. His style blends Afro-Mandinka music with contemporary sounds. 

He has collaborated with renowned artists such as Les Frères Diouf, Constantinople and Richard Séguin, and has participated in international projects such as the show O by Cirque du Soleil. With five albums to his name, his work stands out for its social commitment, musical hybridity, and the warmth of his voice. Kora Flamenca (2020) received multiple awards and nominations, consolidating his international reach.
