Salvador López López

Tipo de artista: Director of the BFM

In 1982, Salvador López joined Ballet Folklórico de México at the invitation of choreographer and founder Amalia Hernández to organise an event in San Juan del Río, Querétaro, in support of the local fire brigade. His entry into the company was a matter of chance, as the promoter responsible for the event disappeared and Amalia decided not to cancel it. This led Salvador to take on the role of producer and tour coordinator. In 1983, he organised his first international tour to the People’s Republic of China and, since then, has coordinated performances in numerous countries, bringing the Ballet to audiences in sixty nations to date.
