The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen

It is one of the most prestigious orchestras in the world, recognized for its unique style. Under the direction of Paavo Järvi since 2004, they have celebrated twenty years of fruitful collaboration. Their notable project on Beethoven and their interpretations of Schumann and Brahms have been internationally acclaimed.

Until 2024, Haydn’s London Symphonies were at the centre of focus, with acclaimed performances in Vienna and a tour across Asia. In 2023, their first CD featuring these symphonies received the Orchestra of the Year Award from the British classical music magazine Gramophone and an Opus Klassik in 2024. Winners of multiple prizes such as the Echo/Opus and the Diapason d’Or, they have collaborated with renowned soloists including Lang Lang, Igor Levit and Janine Jansen.

Tarmo Peltokoski has been their first Principal Guest Conductor since 2022. They have been in residence at the Elbphilharmonie and Kölner Philharmonie since 2017, and in 2019 served as orchestra-in-residence at the Rheingau Musik Festival, where they were awarded the Rheingau Music Prize for their pioneering projects and contributions to the history of performance practice.
