Originally from Xalapa, Veracruz, he graduated from Escuela de Estudios del Jazz at Universidad Veracruzana. He began his artistic career at a young age through collaborations with Son de Madera. He has performed at international festivals in Seattle, Vancouver, New York, and across Mexico. His recent appearances include the Vancouver Folk Festival (2018), the AfroCaribeño Festival (2020), and the Festival de la Estación (2020). He was the first Mexican admitted to A Cappella Academy —founded by Avi Kaplan, Ben Bram and Rob Dietz—, where he specialised in vocal music.
