The Coro Vientos Musicales de Comonfort is part of the Vientos Musicales para la Gente programme, a community training initiative promoted by Secretaría de Cultura del estado de Guanajuato. Since the integration of choral ensembles into the programme in 2017, the choir has developed an intense educational and artistic activity in the municipality of Comonfort, Guanajuato.

Throughout its trajectory, it has participated in various meetings and performances, notably its collaboration with Orquesta Sinfónica Juvenil Vientos Musicales and the Cantoría Salmantina in the concert Ensayo Sonoro sobre Guanajuato, presented at the 49th edition of the Festival Internacional Cervantino in 2021.

The choir, under the choral direction of Carlos Navarro Egüiluz, is distinguished by a pedagogical approach focused on collective creation. As a result of this process, they have composed several original works, including Canción de cuna para ballena bebé, which will be performed in this concert.
