Singer, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and arts educator, with over ten albums to her name. She is a member of several groups including Chéjere (son jarocho fusion), Chalanes del Amor (Chile–Mexico), Power Duo, Mamasónicas, and Que siempre sí (female son jarocho ensemble). Mariel has performed in numerous countries, among them China, the Netherlands, France, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, South Africa, and Switzerland.
