Founded in January 2023, the “Kuitól Tének” Semillero is part of the national Semilleros Creativos programme, promoted by Secretaría de Cultura. It is based at Centro Cultural “David Celestinos” in the community of Amatlán, Veracruz. 

The ensemble is made up of 47 children and young people aged between 7 and 17, who perform traditional Huasteco repertoire and popular music from the mountainous region of Otontepec and Huasteca Veracruzana. They have taken part in Huapango festivals and traditional celebrations across various municipalities, establishing themselves as hosts of Fiesta del Huapango in Amatlán.
