Aristóteles Benítez

Mexican musician, producer, and sound artist. His work and research focus on extending sound into choreographic movement and exploring the syntax of sound within contemporary composition. He received the Premio Nacional de Danza Guillermo Arriaga INBAL–UNAM in 2018 for Best Original Music with Room by Colectivo Querido Venado. He has taken part in various tours, festivals, and residencies both in Mexico and abroad, including the Altofest Festival Residency in Naples, Italy (2023), with the piece ATONAL by carlaxguillermo, among others.

His sound compositions and live creations have accompanied the work of artists such as Andrea Chirinos, Evoé Sotelo, Magdalena Brezzo, Melva Olivas, Jésica Elizondo, Gabriela Hernández, Nicolas Poggy, Carla Segovia, Guillermo Aguilar, and Sergio Valentín. He studied Audio Synthesis (SuperCollider) at the Centro Multimedia of CENART with Ernesto Romero and Hernani Villaseñor.
