He holds a doctorate in electroacoustic composition from City University London and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in multichannel sound at the UNAM. His main focus is three-dimensional music for orchestra, electronics, and live processing. He has received awards in France, Italy, Belgium, and Mexico, including the Prix SCRIME (2000), the Russolo (2001), and In-Pulso Creativo (2024). He has been a member of Sistema Nacional de Creadores de Arte on three occasions. His catalogue includes three-dimensional symphonies, electroacoustic works, and experimental rock pieces.
