Since composing his first string quartet at the age of fourteen, Vid has developed a diverse career as a film composer, musician, record producer, and sound engineer. He began his career in studios and on stages in London, England, eventually touring to Montreal, where he has worked on live productions and recordings with numerous artists, including Squarepusher, Amon Tobin, Bell Orchestre, !!!, and his long-time collaborator, Kid Koala. His compositional work can also be heard in Caterpillarplasty, winner of the Canadian Screen Award, and in Requiem for Romance, shortlisted for an Oscar. He is a faculty member in the Music and Film departments at Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec.
