Kid Koala

The Storyville Mosquito

* Programme subject to change

A live animated graphic novel, performed, filmed, scored and sound designed in real time. This experience combines live puppetry, cinematic techniques and music to create a film before your eyes. Fifteen artists bring the story to life onstage using eight cameras, twenty miniature sets and seventy-five puppets. The performance is accompanied by a string trio, as well as Kid Koala himself on piano and turntables.

This production tells the story of a mosquito who moves to the big city with the dream of becoming a great musician. The play moves through comedic sequences and emotional moments, while the team manipulates puppets, sets and handcrafted objects of various scales to bring the story to life.
