Ballet Folklórico de México de Amalia Hernández returns to Festival Internacional Cervantino to take us on a journey through diverse and vibrant regions of Mexico, including Guerrero, Jalisco, and the state of Veracruz, which will be given a special tribute. On this occasion, they will be accompanied by Orquesta Sinfónica de la Universidad de Guanajuato (OSUG) and Compañía Mono Blanco.
With a focus on stylised folklore, the festival will present a special programme featuring musicians and dancers who, with passion and joy, will exalt the legacy of Amalia Hernández and Mexican culture. Under the general direction of Salvador López López and the artistic direction of Viviana Basanta Hernández, this year’s programme will offer audiences a fantastic journey through the diverse and colourful regions of Mexico, from Veracruz, through Guerrero, to Jalisco.
It will be a joint dance and music performance celebrating the richness of Mexican traditions, offering a cultural and enriching experience for the whole family.
